Wiremonkey Sketches

Here are a few sketches from an animated short that I've been working on with Wiremonkey films. I did the character designs, storyboards, layouts and keyframes for the project. The flash animation was done beautifully by a Thailanese flash animator named Win. The Project is almost done, and will be appearing as a "commercial" as part of a live action film, entitled, "Comedy on Comedy." I will keep you posted.

Its in the hands of the judges now. This NCN sponsered contest just ended today. I guess i'll know the results tommorrow. Lotsa fun! Big fun!

Let's not forget Samuel L Jackson's character, "Jules" from the same movie. My task now is to combine the two characters into one picture. i will probably take the suit off of Sam and put him in his skivvies, like John.

FINALLY got a likeness of John Travolta's character, Vincent, from the movie "Pulp Fiction" that Im satisfied with. here it is...

I am working with a comic writer on a teenage strip called, "larger than life" soon to be coming to the web. These are all original characters I creadted for the strip.

Pulp Fiction the Animated series

Im having a blast participating in a NCN character design contest drawing Characters from Pulp Fiction, The Animated Series. Its been a great exercise so far, and one of the judges is my favorite character designer, Steve Kim Possible Silvers.

This is a caricature of fellow caricature NCN artist, Kathy Bailey.(pictured below) I didnt want to do a run of the mill traditional caricature of her, so I experimented using black paper and neon prismacolor art stixx I kinda like my experiment and she did too...or at least she SAID she did

Again, not hilarious stuff, but Im in there swinging....and missing! LOL! The art director said that my toons were "too cartoony" last week, this week he said they were"too corny!" LOL! cant wait to see what I;m gonna be "too" next week!

Okay, I aint gonna win any commedy awards writing stuff like this, but if you've ever read The New Yorker Magazine, you realize in no time that it aint exactly mad magazine. The cartoons seem kinda bland, and stuck in a 1950's time warp , but they do pay well providing you can get one in! I started a habit of going every week to take a gamble. I figured that sooner or later I gotta hit! and i also get the opportunity to rub shoulders with some really old school cartoonists.

New Yorker toons

Just to see if i could do it, I went along with him to The New Yorker Magazine to sell my toons... This one didnt make the cut, and neither did my other four .... I get to try again next week...

New Perspective..

Thought I'd try a rapper from a new perspective... at least for me. These guys like to appear larger than life, so i thought id draw him that way.
