He wanted directions......


"which train do I take to go to Canarsie?" He asked in his broken English clutching a subway map. " I dont want to get lost," he added. I happily advised him to take the A train into Broadway Junction where he could transfer to the downtown L train straight to Canarsie. Sit right there, I motioned to a seat, and I'll tell you exactly when to get off.
I put him in perfect three quarter postion for this caricature. One of the best Ive done all week.

i love those eyes you gave him! i've always been amused/impressed by caricature artists... especially since it's not something that comes naturally to me.

Most of the credit goes to the people I draw. One of the major subway stops on the A line Is Howard Beach, JFK which connects to the Airtrain. I get an ENDLESS sea of interesting faces from folks who fly in literally all over the world just to sit in the subway seat across from me and "pose"...heh, heh...
